The American Heart Association, in partnership with Murfreesboro Medical Clinic, is now seeking nominations for the annual Lifestyle Change Awards celebrated at the Rutherford Heart Walk on Sunday, October 30th. The goal is to honor the accomplishments of individuals who have made significant strides to change their way of life.
The Lifestyle Change Award is a great opportunity to recognize a friend, family member or co-worker who has made positive changes to improve their quality of life and health, and influenced those around them to do the same. No change is too small; every accomplishment is significant and should be celebrated! Some examples include: losing weight, quitting smoking, or eating healthy.
The Rutherford County Lifestyle Change winner will be announced at the Heart Walk and presented with a certificate and wellness swag bag. Additionally, Murfreesboro Medical Clinic will have a tent set up displaying all Lifestyle Change nominee stories.
Is there somebody in your life who has made a lifestyle change and deserves to be recognized? Submit a nomination for the 2011 Lifestyle Change Award by completing the attached nomination form and emailing to Kelly.greene@heart.org or faxing to (615) 340-4101 by Wednesday, October 26th.
The Rutherford County Heart Walk will be held Sunday, October 30, on the campus of Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
