Rutherford County Clerk Lisa Duke Crowell has announced Mobile Emission Testing will soon begin for use by Rutherford County citizens. The Clerk said testing will begin May 30 and will be held at Lane Agri Park every first and last Tuesday.

"With the influx of new citizens into our county, the number of vehicles on our roads has increased exponentially," Crowell said. "I believe the mobile testing will bring relief to the ever increasing long wait lines at the current testing sites. And, of course, permanent testing locations in Murfreesboro and Smyrna will continue servicing citizens' vehicles," she added.

Lane Agri Park is at 315 John R Rice Boulevard. Testing hours will be 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. every first and last Tuesday of each month. Severe weather or operational constraints may prohibit operation of the testing unit when necessary. Call the hotline at 615-399-8995 to determine if the unit is operating.
