First Tennessee Bank announced today that Yolanda Greene, Rutherford County Market President, has been installed to the Tennessee Board of Regents, representing the 4th Congressional District. Governor Bill Haslam officially appointed Greene in a ceremony on Wednesday, March 14.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to join the Board of Regents, and for the opportunity to serve the people of Tennessee," said Greene. "I look forward to working with my fellow board members to champion higher education throughout our state."
"Yolanda is a star on the First Tennessee team, and she is highly deserving of this honor," said Carol Yochem, president of First Tennessee Bank in Middle Tennessee. "Her commitment to her local community and to education in Rutherford County has been extraordinary, and she has much to offer in her new role."
Recently named one of the Nashville Business Journal's 40 Under 40, Greene serves on numerous Rutherford County boards, including: Rutherford County United Way Young Leaders Society, Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club, Rutherford County Boys & Girls Club, Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She is a Leadership Rutherford Graduate, and a member of the Young Leaders Council.
