MTSU Closed Monday In Observance of MLK Day

MTSU will be closed Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.

MTSU will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, with all business offices and departments open until 4:30 p.m.

The university's traditional MLK celebration and candlelight vigil will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Student Union Ballroom.

During the holiday weekend:

  • TheJames E. Walker Librarywill be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19; open from 2 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20; and closed Jan.21.
  • TheStudent Unionwill be open various hours. Visit https://www.mtsu.edu/mtunions/ or call 615-898-5121 for more information.
  • Campus Recreation Centerwill be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 19; open from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 20; and closed Jan. 21.
