Spring is definitely in the air, and Rutherford County master gardeners are offering free classes and programs throughout the community over the next few weeks.
The soil is moist and they agreed there are certain things you need to do now . . .
That was Jennifer Salter and Linda Stevens, both local master gardeners.
They will offer a free class this coming Saturday morning at the Smyrna Library.
The following Saturday, April 6, 2019, the class will be at the Linebaugh Library.
In addition, Saturday, April 13, 2019 brings "Adventures In Agriculture" to the Lane Agri-Park, 315 John R. Rice Boulevard, from 10:00AM until 2:00PM.
Plus, a one-for-one PLANT SWAP is set for Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 9:00AM to noon at the Lane Agri-Park. Swap 1 plant for 1 plant. Bring your extra vegetable plants, flowering, bulbs, corms (bulbotuber survives in unfavorable conditions), trees or house plants to swap. All plants need to be labeled with plant name, growth habits and divided if necessary.
