$5.1-million dollars is the cost to expand and renovate Hobgood Elementary School in Murfreesboro and that is the amount of money the city council has to approve to make the expansion happen. The consideration of the expansion will take place Thursday evening during the city council meeting at 7. Hobgood Elementary is 57-years old and school officials hope to add four classrooms and convert their media center into two more classrooms. The school also wants to expand the cafeteria and build a new kitchen.
