Special Kids has received $25,000 from Thomas Nelson Publishing Company and committed another $50,000 to the Murfreesboro non-profit organization. These funds will enable Special Kids to help families who may not have insurance coverage for nursing services.
Special Kids Executive Director Chris Truelove said, “Parents of medically fragile children face a myriad of problems. It is our passion to help ease the difficulties for these parents by providing a safe and loving environment without the typical high costs of medical care. This is only possible through the help of our community and wonderful supporters like Thomas Nelson who are willing to step in the gap and make it possible for us to continue meeting the needs of these families.”
Special Kids’ Skilled Nursing Program offers solutions. Their skilled nursing program helps ease this stress by enabling parents to continue working while knowing their child is in a safe place where they can grow and learn.
