(SMYRNA, TN) A new public park officially opens at 4:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 17th in Smyrna. Smyrna Mayor Esther Reed and other dignitaries will cut the ribbon for the new Cedar Stone Community Park.
Mayor Reed said, "The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by the field honorees."
She also underlined that the Town of Smyrna remains committed to adhering to Governor Lee's Tennessee Pledge and the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Modifications are in place to maintain the safety of those in attendance.
Smyrna Parks and Recreation Director Mike Moss will serve as the emcee, with Mayor Mary Esther Reed offering comments, and a formal dedication of the field to Kenneth "Coon" Victory, H.G. Cole, Ginny Olerud Williams, and Frank E. Crosslin, Jr.
Smyrna's new Cedar Stone Community Park is located at 3639 Morton Lane.
Again, the opening ceremony will be 4:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 17th at the new Cedar Stone Community Park.
