A listener writes that she left home and knew she would make it home before her husband. When that didn’t occur, she became worried and called the sheriff’s office. That was when the women learned her husband had had a blow-out on the interstate. When he arrived home, he told how when his tire blew it was late and very dark. He was attempting to change tires when Sergeant Barry Poole arrived, turned his spotlight on so they could see and had his blue lights flashing so others would not hit them. Sergeant Barry Poole jumped-in and helped the stranded motorist change the tire. The worried wife said, “I just want him to know how much we appreciate his consideration and help that night.” Sergeant Barry Poole with the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office will receive dinner for two from Demos’ Restaurant as the OUTSTANDING EMERGENCY RESPONDER.
