The Islamic Center of Murfreesboro was the topic of a Chancery Court hearing on Wednesday (6/13/2012).  Attorney Joe Brandon requested that in light of the ruling that proper public notice was not given by the county before approving construction permits, that the county be ordered to stop construction. However, Chancellor Robert Corlew ruled that a certificate of occupancy could not be issued.

Construction of the Mosque on Veals Road at Bradyville Pike is almost completed. Ramadan begins July 20th, and it appears that although the structure will be finished--the 1,000 Islamic followers will not be allowed to occurpy the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.
