The family that owned the 3-month old 3-pound miniature pinscher that was shot and killed by a neighbor in LaVergne received a welcomed gift this week. The Electric Service Credit Union gave the family a new puppy.
The Duffer family say that their puppy was shot after wandering into the neighbors back yard. LaVergne police issued a citation to the man who allegedly killed the dog. He was charged with intentionally killing an animal, which is a misdemeanor offense.
