If you steal something from a store and a manager confronts you about the stolen merchandise, it is probably not a good idea to call and complain about the manager if you don’t want to be caught.

Two females, both believed to be 18-years of age, entered a store in the area of Stones River Mall and stole a Northface jacket and a purse. As the teens were exiting the store, the manager approached them to ask about the stolen products. The employee was able to retrieve the jacket and the purse, but the two girls fled the scene.

After the theft occurred, one of the two females called the Franklin branch of the store to complain about the manager that confronted her. The Franklin store was able to obtain the suspects phone number and then relayed that to the Murfreesboro store. The local manager then searched the internet for the phone number and matched it to a girls FaceBook profile page.  From there, the manager searched the suspects’ friends and found a photo of the other culprit believed to be involved in the theft. To further confirm his findings, he was able to match their pictures to the in-store video surveillance camera that recorded them in the store.

The information recovered by the local store manager was turned over to police. Officers informed the victim on how to go about obtaining a warrant.
