The Shell “Sudden Service” gas station on North Rutherford Boulevard was robbed at gun point on Wednesday morning. The clerk described one of the suspects as a black male wearing a hoodie and a dark blue bandanna covering his face. The store employee says that at gun point the robber asked her to put the money from the cash register into a bag. Less than a minute later, a second robber made his way into the store.
The second thief was described as a 6-foot tall white male wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and a black bandana over his face. He was also armed with a gun and stayed next to the door as a lookout during the hold up. After the money from the store was in hand, the two men fled the store on foot.
The victim was not injured and was able to call for help after the robbery. Police responded to the scene with a K-9 to follow the scent of the two culprits. The dog was unsuccessful and the two men got-a-way. So far, arrests have not been made.
