The Oakland High School Lady Patriot’s Softball Team has provided "Poinsettias to Patriots" at the Tennessee State Veteran’s Home on Compton Road in Murfreesboro. Poinsettias were donated by the Lady Patriots to our Military Veteran Patriots. The Lady Patriots were charged with raising money for their upcoming softball season.  Many of the team members expressed concern about delivery of the plants, as many of the ladies' family members live outside the area. The softball team provided an outside the box approach and decided that they would ask friends and family to donate plants to our veterans, spreading the holiday cheer to those who provide us the freedoms we enjoy.
