A 17-year-old high school junior who went to buy a cellphone he found for sale online was shot and killed when he arrived to purchase the phone. The suspects in the 2018 case were two juveniles. Again, Yudjy F. Cherubin who was a student at La Vergne High School was killed when he went to purchase a cellphone. He was killed while his two siblings were in his car waiting for him to buy the phone. 

The case goes before the courts on August 14, 2020.
