(MURFREESBORO)  On Wednesday (7/8/2020) an elderly male lost his balance and his foot slipped into a gap between his porch and the home. Neighbors here his pleas for help and called 911.

Medic 16 along with Rutherford County Fire Rescue Station 60 rushed to the home.

The first-responders used airbags to push the porch and home apart. It only took a few inches, and the crew gained enough space to free the man's leg.

The amazing thing is that from the time the first unit arrived until when the man was free, only five-minutes of time had passed. 

The elderly man was transported to the ER with non life-threatening injuries.
