(MURFREESBORO) 2020-2021 officers for the Tennessee Fisher House on campus with the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center have been elected.
The new officers include Tom Allard from Shelbyville to serve as president, Tom Hickerson from Smyrna is the president-eect, Brentwood's Andrea Lawrence was voted secretary, Don Wright from Murfreesboro is the immediate past president, the treasurer is Keith Lawrence from Brentwood.
Board Members are Joe Baltz, Mt. Juliet; Cliff Hardy, Mt. Juliet; Stephanie Sturdivant, Madison; Zachary Smith, Manchester; Bill Griggs, Bell Buckle; Louis “Lou” Ferraro, Murfreesboro; Dr. Ron Wright, Murfreesboro; Brandon Hulette, Franklin.
Murfreesboro's Murfreesboro is a twelve-suite “home away from home” that provides a place for families to stay, free of charge, while their loved one receives inpatient medical care at the VA.
The house is beautifully furnished and features a shared, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, dining room, living room and sunroom. The bedroom suites all have private bathrooms for personal comfort.
Families with patients at the Nashville VA Hospital may also stay in the Murfreesboro location.
