Middle TN Electric Members--Fri. and Sat. Last Chance To Vote

Aug 27, 2020 at 11:51 pm by WGNS

(MURFREESBORO)  Due to COVID-19, Middle Tennessee Electric's Annual Meeting will be "virtual" this Saturday (8/29/2020). Friday is the last opportunity for members to vote on issues that impact utility users. The meeting is on-line at 4:00PM Saturday; go to https://mtemc.com/

Middle Tennessee Electric is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric cooperative. As a result of the pandemic, this year's annual meeting is "virtual".

They still need for each individual member-owner to vote on issues that impact everyone as well as elect leaders who will guide the cooperative.

Last Opportunity To Vote

Members can register to vote and win door prizes at your local office on Friday (8/28/2020) from 7:30AM to 5:00PM and Saturday (8/29/2020) from 7:30AM to noon.

While MTEMC highly encourages members to participate in the democratic process, you can also register to win door prizes without voting or coming into their offices. Members can register over the phone at 877-777-9020 for door prizes only on Friday (8/28/2020) from 7AM-7PM.

Door Prizes Encourage SHOP LOCAL

Due to the changes caused by the pandemic, we are not giving away a vehicle this year as a grand prize or Cracker Barrel gift cards to those who register. Instead, members who register are eligible to win the door prizes announced during the virtual annual meeting on August 29 at 4:00 p.m. We'll use a computer-generated system to randomly choose winners from registered members. Our team will follow up with winners the following week to discuss how they'd prefer to receive their prize.

As part of the local community, MTE is encouraging members to buy local. As an example to our members, we've purchased all 30 door prizes from local, small businesses from the communities we serve.
