(MURFREESBORO) The sidewalk around the old Henry's Florist will be the scene for "ligts, camera, action" this coming Wednesday evening (9/2/2020).
Thanks to decades of work by Main Street Murfreesboro, the historic downtown square is so picturesque that it is often described as looking like a page out of a Norman Rockwell photo.
Evidently the word is out, because crews were here in June to get scenes for a music video. That's nothing new for the 'Boro, as numerous video crews have been pulled to the Heart of Tennessee over the years.
If you're in the area, don't be shocked to see a heavy snow fall. Reliable sources tell us that the snow is water soluble and will be completely washed away after the video session.
For this Wednesday's session, the city's permit is in effect from 5:30 to 10:30PM.
So what area will be used? The permit allows crews to block the inside lane of E. Main through the right turn lane onto the square, and then along North Church until about where Puckett's restaurant is located. The parking spaces in that area will also be blocked.
The production company has hired two off duty police officers and patrol cars to handle vehicle and pedestrian traffic control.
From now on when someone says "you oughta be pictures", let them know that's another reason to live in Murfreesboro.
