(MURFREESBORO) If you were driving home on South Rutherford Boulevard and saw emergency vehicles, a passing motorist saw a person in a pickup truck who was having a medical emergency. They phoned 911 around 4:21PM on Wednesday (9/9/2020) and almost instantly help was there.
It was right in the thick of bumper-to-bumper afternoon traffic. Suddenly the 2000 block of South Rutherford Boulevard near Lynch Drive was packed with grid-lock traffic and hundreds of rubber neckers. This was about a block from where Black Fox Wetlands crosses under the roadway.
We are so appreciative of the great teamwork between all local agencies and how they are there quickly whenever needed. This emergency included teams from Murfreesboro Police Department, Murfreesboro Fire Rescue, and Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services.
