(SMYRNA, TN)  At 6:45PM Monday (10/12/2020) evening, Smyrna Fire Department was dispatched to 403 Mary Street for a home fire. This is on a dead end street that backs on the Lee Victory Recreation Park. 

Upon arrival, B-Shift SFD personnel noted that the attic was fully engulfed and flames had vented the roof.  SFD personnel attacked and extinguished the fire.  

Chief Bill Culbertson said, “Personnel did an excellent job of containing the fire.  We are grateful the occupants escaped without injury.”

The Heart of Tennessee Chapter of American Red Cross is assisting the residents.

The cause of the blaze and where it began is under investigation.
