Kelly Anne Williams of Chick-fil-A marketing welcome SROs Broede Stucky and Dustin Cox to the restaurant for National Teen Driver Safety Week.

(MURFREESBORO)  Every week should be "National Teen Driver Safety Week", but as you have been hearing on WGNS--this week law enforcement agencies are getting out this important word.

School resource officers from the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office are distributing materials to remind teens to pay attention, especially during National Teen Driver Safety Week Oct. 18-24.

They will be at the Smyrna High School-LaVergne football game on Friday night. And SROs will sponsor a free safety event Saturday from 11AM-3PM at Smyrna High School. Teens may wear DUI goggles to drive golf carts, practice driving skills on simulators and try out a seat belt convincer. And while you're there, get free snow cones from Double Zero Sno.
