(MURFREESBORO) There was a serious three-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Clark Boulevard and Hodge Drive Thursday (11/5/2020) afternoon. One of the cars slammed into the side of the home, and Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue had to extricate the driver.
Battalion Chief Mark McCluskey said that those in the other vehicles were not injured.
The preliminary investigation report from Murfreesboro Police, revealed that the driver of a Nissan Altima attempted to turn onto East Clark Boulevard from Hodge Drive and collided with an SUV. That caused the SUV to flip. Then a red Nissan Maxima collided with the Nissan Altima, causing it to veer off road into a yard and slam into the side of a brick home.
The City Codes Department has deemed the home unsafe because of structural issues caused by the crash.
The tenants will be staying in a hotel. The crash remains under investigation.
