The City Cafe will remain open after all. Owners shared on social media that the outpouring of support last week after announcing they would have to close will now help keep the doors open.
The restaurant, which has been open for 120-years, has been hit hard by the pandemic. The owners said the community's support "changed our lives forever."

A staple of Murfreesboro is closing its doors after 120-years. The City Cafe will close for good on Saturday.
The restaurant is owned by Rollin and Teresa Kellogg. The announcement was made Wednesday on their Facebook page. They say they tried to hang on through Christmas but are just unable to do so.
The owners report after "a long hard battle" they had no choice but to close due to COVID-19.
They created a GoFundMe page to help employees transition while they look for a new job.
