Bill Jones tells about the new facility

(MURFREESBORO)  Pinnacle Financial Partners will soon begin to raze their half-century old five-story headquarters on the corner of East College and North Maple Streets. Rutherford County Area Executive Bill Jones said that the demolition begins this month.

Jones explained that construction would take 12-months, so the facility could be finished by the end of next year.

The Murfreesboro Transportation Department even warns motorists about the upcoming demolition work. 

Old Pinnacle Building Demolition Work (N Maple St at W College St)

Expected Road Closures:  Monday through Saturday:  Demolition contractor for a private development will be removing exterior panels off the old Pinnacle Building.  W College St will be closed N Maple St (Monday through Wednesday).   Appropriate traffic controls and detours will be in place.

Again, demolition of the old structure will begin any day, and it will be torn-down piece by piece and not with an implotion.
