(MURFREESBORO)  Around 8:30 Saturday (12/26/2020) morning, Murfreesboro Fire-Rescue Department received a structure fire to 830 N. Church Street. The first firefighters on-the-scene reported heavy smoke and fire coming from the front door. 

Crews worked quickly to extinguish the blaze.

Battalion Chief Mark McCluskey said “The fire was contained to one room, but there was smoke and heat damage throughout the home.”

No one living in the home and no injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting a routine investigation.
