Officers never know what awaits them with a routine traffic stop. Rutherford County Deputy Carol Stafford turned-on the blue lights and initiated a speeding offense. As the event progressed, she discovered illegal drugs in the vehicle. Back-up was called, and before long around $17,000 in drugs was removed from the market in Rutherford County. As a result, Deputy Stafford was presented the “Traffic Stop Award” by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office. Thank you Rutherford County Sheriffs Deputy Carol Stafford.
