(Rutherford County, TN) A snowy Saturday night (2/6/2021) proved busy for first responders in Rutherford County. It began with a structure fire on Thompson Road.
Outbuilding Fire on Thompson Rd.
Around 10:00 o'clock Saturday night, firefighters responded to a large structure fire on Thompson Road. That's off Salem Pike in the Rockvale Community.
When crews arrived, they discovered a large barn with heavy fire involvement. Crews extinguished the fire and fortunately no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Single-Vehicle Crash On Big Springs Rd.
While crews were still on the scene at the barn fire,a call came-in about a single-vehicle crash on Big Springs Road.
Due to the terrain and slick conditions, Squad 52 personnel had to set up a low angle haul system to help with removing the patient.
The injured person was transported to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital by Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services.
Big Springs Road is a long and curvy, narrow thoroughfare between Manchester Pike and Bradyville Pike.
