A lengthy police pursuit that went through Eagleville, TN on Friday ended in Marshall County, TN.
Evidently, the chase started in Nolensville near Rocky Fork Road when police spotted a white Dodge Ram that was pulling a dual axle trailer. Authorities say that the truck and trailer were reported stolen earlier in the day.
After Nolensville Police failed to stop the truck, the subject continued towards Eagleville.
The driver of the stolen truck was welcomed into Rutherford County by Deputies who deployed spike strips to slow the driver down. Both the drivers side front and rear tires were flattened by the spikes, but the truck continued into Eagleville while still pulling the heavy duty construction trailer.
Suspect Tracy Potts made it all the way to Marshall County, where he lost control and ran into a ditch near Highway 31-A.
After wrecking, Potts allegedly put up a fight to avoid being captured. Reports indicate the struggle was brief and the 36-year old was handcuffed and is now facing charges from agencies in three different jurisdictions.
Some of the charges that the Nashville man face include "Theft Over $10,000, Two Counts of Aggravated Assault, Three Counts of Felony Evading and DUI."
Previous to Potts arrest on Friday, he was awaiting trial in Nashville for three previous auto thefts.
