(BEECHGROVE, TN)  Here's an update on the homicide that occured in Lakewood Park in Beechgrove last Tuesday (3/9/2021). The Coffee County Sheriffs Office has identified the victim as 39-year old Juan Carlos Torres.

As you recall from earlier newscasts, police received a call from neighbors telling about a bleeding man seen at 50 Shiloh Road. When Coffee County deputies arrived, they found the deceased male.

Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin said that an initial investigation showed an altercation took place between Torres and 36-year old Joseph Andrew Johnson of Beechgrove. Joseph was arrested on first degree murder charges.

Lakewood Park is near the Rutherford County line, and is in Coffee County.
