All Vietnam War era veterans and their families in the Rutherford County area - - are invited to the fourth anniversary of “National Vietnam War Veterans Day.”

The “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Fair” will be at Northside Baptist Church in Murfreesboro on Saturday, March 27th.

The Vietnam saga took place over a twenty year time frame. When it was finally over in the 1970's, veterans returning home from the Vietnam War did not always receive respectful greetings upon their arrival on American soil.

Observances like the one planned for Murfreesboro on the 27th will recognize the military service of these men and women who answered the call to serve their country when that call was made between 1955 and 1975.

The Colonel Hardy Murfree chapter of the National Society - Daughters of the American Revolution has organized and planned the event.

Again, Vietnam War veterans and their families are invited to attend the “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Fair” at Northside Baptist Church on March 27th.
