The local library system could receive a additional funding, thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) signed by President Joe Biden.
The total funding from the act nationwide comes in at $1.9-Trillion. The money will be dispersed to a long list of agencies across the country in multiple ways, so details on how library systems like the one in Rutherford County will receive money, is not readily available at this time as different libraries will have to apply to receive funds.
The local library system is back open to their regular schedule, but masks and social distancing are strongly encouraged.
