(MURFREESBORO)  MTSU police were flagged down Sunday morning (6/13/2021) by a woman jogging on campus. She told officers that strange sounds were coming from a storm sewer. They went to the drain and heard something too. That's when they called for backup from Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue.

Once on-the-scene, the emergency responders determined it was a quacking sound and opened the culvert. One climbed down a ladder into the culvert and rescued seven baby ducklings.

The curious and quick moving babies were secured in a plastic case to prevent them from wandering back. They were then reunited with a very relieved mother duck.
