U.S. Senator says she Fears the Banning of Hunting Rifles with Recent ATF Nominee

U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said that hunters throughout Tennessee could be in danger of losing their right to use and own rifles.

Blackburn recently rebuked the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Nominee David Chipman. The U.S. Senator said that Chipman's agenda defies the U.S. Constitution.



According to Senator Blackburn, Chipman’s agenda will ban hunting rifles for Tennessee residents.

Blakcburn went on to say that she believes Chipman's agenda would ultimately ban semi-automatic rifles and sporting rifles for owned by over 15-million Americans who have a hunting license.

Roughly 4 in 10 Americans report having a registered firearm in their residence.
