Dr. Dan Rudd

(MURFREESBORO) To vaccinate or not to vaccinate, that is the question. Dr. Dan Rudd has intensely studied COVID-19 since it began to sweep the world at the end of 2019. Hopefully, this information will be helpful.

In addition to serving patients at his Murfreesboro practice, Dr. Rudd is also the physician who is in charge of the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center as well as the Workhouse. As a result, in this pandemic year--he has faced many challenges in keeping the coronavirus under control.

Differences

The complete interview with Dr. Rudd is available at the bottom of this page.

What is the difference between the Delta variant and the original COVID-19?

When Should I Return To Normal?

After being tested positive for having the coronavirus, once I am feeling good-with no fever--when should I return to work?

Again, Dr. Rudd indicated that it is OK to return to work 10-days after testing positive on COVID test if you do not have a fever.

Help The Unvaccinated

Tell us about the breakthrough that helps to treat persons who get the Delta variant, but have not been vaccinated.

What If You Have Allergic Reactions?

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT:  If you have had allergic reactions throughout your life, and have had to use epinephrin (an example is the brand name EpiPen)--plus trips to the ER with allergic reactions.  If that is you, ask yourself, "Have you had problems with other vaccinations--like flu, pneumonia, shingles, polio, mumps or others?  If you have had problems with routine vaccinations, it's probably best to not get the COVID shot. Check with your physician."

Are We Close to the "Herd Immunity"?

Reportedly, we are getting closer to reaching the "herd immunity". Tell us about that . . .

Changing Guidelines

Are the changing government COVID guidelines as confusing to physicians as they are to the public?

COVID Data

Challenges

Are there stumbling blocks in our efforts to return to normalcy?
