“One of my favorite things about the Light Up the Night end of summer party are the hors d’oeuvres and beverages!” said Child Advocacy Center Development Coordinator Katie Enzor.
“All of our favorite local businesses are donating food and drinks,” continued Enzor, “Big Creek Winery, Chick-fil-A, Core-Life, Crumble Cookies, Domenico’s Italian Deli, Empanada Sonata, Fat Guy’s BBQ, Goodness Gracious, Harding House Brewing Co., Mayday Brewery, McAlister’s Deli, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Old Fort Liquor Beer and Wine, Primrose Table, Simply Pure Sweets, Slick Pig BBQ, and The Ally on Main. The invitations from the Nesting Project were very pretty and the decorations are going to be beautiful thanks to Murfreesboro Flower Shoppe!”
The front lawn outdoors at Oakland’s Mansion provides a wide area to socially distance. Guests are encouraged to wear white to shine a light on the darkness of child abuse.
The Child Advocacy Center works as a team with Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office to respond to emergency child abuse cases, protect children, arrest perpetrators, aggressively prosecute offenders, help children heal from the trauma, and help families rebuild their shattered lives.
“The Child Advocacy Center is grateful to all of the sponsors for helping make this an amazing end of summer party,” concluded Child Advocacy Center director Sharon De Boer. “The only thing that will make it better is if YOU join us on Friday evening for Light Up the Night!”
