UPDATE: Police Know Who the Driver Was in a Hit and Run Accident on Sept. 3rd that Caused Over 10,000 to be Without Power

Crews worked to fix the damaged pole on Sept. 3rd.

We have another update on the hit and run accident that left over 10,000 homes and businesses in the dark.

On September 3rd, a driver ran off the road after striking a truck and ran into a TVA utility pole guywire, which was a TVA transmission line. Middle Tennessee Electric’s Amy Byers explains more about what happened...

WARRANTS FOR SUSPECTS ARREST: Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers told WGNS on Tuesday (9/21/22) that detectives know who the name of the suspect who was driving the black Mercedes and have obtained warrants. Flowers stated, “One of the officers who worked the crash has identified the driver and taken out warrants, but no arrest at this time.”

More News on the Hit and Run Power Outage

The TVA transmission pole and equipment that was damaged in the hit and run accident was on Boyd Dr. near Tabitha St. As reported, the crash resulted in a widespread power outage in the Blackman and Gateway areas.
