One of several “Be On the Lookout” reports from the Murfreesboro Police Department has been canceled, as a result of detectives being able to positively identify a suspect.

Reports indicate that a man entered a car audio retailer in the area of Old Fort Parkway and Mall Circle Drive on September 27th and helped himself to a new amplifier. Evidently, the amp at Cartronics was valued at $1,053.

When the subject entered the store, he asked to see a Rockford Fosgate amplifier to power his speakers. While the suspect was looking at the amp, two store employees had to leave the showroom to check on a car that was having a new audio system installed. The suspect evidently saw his alone time as an opportunity to steal the amp.

Police tell WGNS the man fled the store without paying for his new Rockford Fosgate amp, driving away in a Nissan Altima.

Now that the subject has been positively identified, warrants have been obtained and a court date will soon be  scheduled.
