A significant project the City of Murfreesboro hopes to get off the ground in the near future will lessen the burden of traffic on both Highway 99 and Highway 96. The project involves the construction of a bridge over the Stones River.

As heard in past newscast, the city will extend Beasie Road off New Salem Highway at Warrior Drive. that runs alongside of I-24.

Beasie Road is home to COSTCO, The Outpost Armory and Lazydays RV.

As of Thursday (03/31/22), there is not a construction “Start Date,” but design work is being done...



Once the bridge has been built and is open to motorist, it is expected to alleviate a lot of traffic congestion on Highway 99 at Warrior Drive and traffic on Old Fort Parkway at Cason Lane.
