(SMYRNA, TN)  A sports car didn't make the turn Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Rock Springs Road and Highland Avenue in Smyrna. This is in a construction area next to Colony Springs Apartments.

The model C-4 red Corvette slid through a dirt field and most of the passenger side of the vehicle was destroyed. 

C-Shift of Smyrna Fire-Rescue's Emergency Service personnel quickly assisted the injured driver of the Corvette. Paramedics from the Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services stabalized the victim and transported him to th ER.
