(Rutherford County, TN) Schools throughout Rutherford County will be closed on Tuesday, due to elections being held at different schools in the community.

On Tuesday, local residents will have the opportunity to vote in the Republican and Democratic Primary race and in the Murfreesboro City Municipal race.

The party nominees during the primaries include the following seats:

Rutherford County Mayor, Trustee, Sheriff, County Clerk, Circuit Court Clerk, Register of Deeds, County Commission seats, school board seats, the District Attorney General position, Chancellor, Circuit Court Judge, General Sessions Judge, Juvenile Court Judge and public defender.

In the city, the current race includes only the City School Board.

The polls will be open from 7 in the morning to 7 PM, Tuesday night.
