(La Vergne, Tenn.) The City of La Vergne human resources department has announced they will be hosting a hiring fair to encourage people to apply for jobs with the city. The hiring event is scheduled for Saturday, June 25 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at La Vergne City Hall at 5093 Murfreesboro Road.

A representative from nearly every department will be set up at the La Vergne City Hall to talk with prospective applicants. Candidates will be able to learn more about open positions and the different opportunities within the city. They will also be able to apply on-site and some departments will even be conducting immediate interviews.

In addition to employer paid medical, dental, and vision, benefits include a 401(a) with match, paid time off, sick leave, a flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and more.

Local Schools Now Hiring: In a previous report this past week, WGNS highlighted another career fair taking place in Rutherford County. According to the Rutherford County Schools, a large number of new employees are needed for a variety of careers within the local education system. From teachers to janitors, there are open positions in just about every category.

Two Job Fairs with the Rutherford Co. Schools: The County Schools will host their Job Fair this Friday, June 3, 2022. Organizers hope to fill an immediate need of teachers and staff in kindergarten through 8th grade levels. The event will be at Stewarts Creek Middle School on June 3rd between 9AM and 11AM. The county will also host a Job Fair at Stewarts Creek High School on June 3rd between 9AM and 11AM. Teachers are needed at the high school in grades 9 through 12th.
