An event that will take place later this month will focus on building awareness of “Pro-Life” and “Pro-Choice” platforms, according to details released by Portico in Murfreesboro. Portico is an organization that offers pregnancy support services to local residents facing an unplanned pregnancy. The event will be held on Friday, July 22nd at The View at Fountains in Murfreesboro (1500 Medical Center Pkwy, Suite 4D).
The event, which is called “Ignite,” is geared toward young professionals and students who are interested in speaking out and defending the unborn.
The guest speaker will be Seth Gruber, who works with Christians and pro-life advocates to better understand the complexities of abortion in America. His goal is to give others the tools to further engage in the abortion issue and to be a voice for the unborn in your community.
Gruber speaks in schools, churches, pregnancy center banquets, and conferences nationwide, equipping people with information to defend life and engage the culture. According to Gruber’s website, “Seth’s message is filled with a game-plan to end abortion in our communities and country.”
Portico in Murfreesboro was established to offer support, from pregnancy tests and ultrasounds, to post abortion classes. The services offered at Portico are free to those who find themselves in a difficult chapter of their lives. A mixture of more than 50-volunteers and 10-staff members run a variety of services at their South Church Street address that serves Rutherford County.
