(MURFREESBORO) Respected neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is the guest speaker at World Outreach Church (1921 State Highway 99) Saturday (7/23/2022) at 6:00PM and 9:30AM Sunday morning (7/24/2022). He is the founder of the American Cornerstone Institute and will bring messages of faith, liberty, community, and life to the local congregation.
At age 33 Dr. Carson was the director of pediatric neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in 1984, then the youngest chief of pediatric neurosurgery in the United States.
His achievements include participating in the first reported separation of conjoined twins joined at the back of the head; performing the first successful neurosurgical procedure on a fetus inside the womb, developing new methods to treat brain-stem tumors. Dr. Carson's many awards include more than 60 honorary doctorate degrees; named by the Library of Congress as one of 89 “Living Legends” on its 200th anniversary; and he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest U.S. civilian award.
There will be multiple sanctuaries open for all services, thus creating ample seating to hear Dr. Carson at both the 6:00PM evening service on Saturday (7/23/2022) and Sunday morning at 9:30AM (7/24/2022).
