(SMYRNA / La VERGNE)  Good news for motorists in the northern end of Rutherford County, Blair Road is scheduled to re-open Friday (7/28/2022).

The base asphalt and temporary lane markings are in place. The top surface and permanent pavement markings for the road are scheduled to be completed in October, 2022.

The construction is adjacent to the massive construction on the northern hillside along the roadway. It will be a giant warehouse and industrial complex that will cover the majority of the hillside land.

For those not familiar with this area, it is where Sam Ridley Parkway ends, just past the Cracker Barrell, and dead-ends onto Blair Road.

By the way, the hillside has La Vergne’s water tank at the peak as well as WGNS’ broadcast tower to serve the Smyrna and La Vergne communities (100.5 mhz. FM) is on that hill.
