(RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN) The Rutherford County Schools have hit a milestone and with nearly 51,000 students enrolled… That was Director of Schools Dr. Jimmy Sullivan - who confirmed the county has approximately 50,750 students.
With the new year underway and Fall Break nearing this coming Friday (students on break from Oct. 3rd to Oct. 7th), research on the county schools pay scale is in the beginning stages. The county schools have contracted with Evergreen Solutions to conduct a 90-day study on the salary for teachers, staff and administrators… Rutherford County and other communities across the state are feeling the pinch of a national teacher shortage. That said, ensuring payroll at the county schools is on par with other counties and states will give a big advantage to the human resources department at the local schools. Dr. Sullivan said… That salary amount is for a new educator with a bachelor’s degree. Pay goes up for teachers with a Master’s Degree or Ph.D.
Again, the salary study that focuses on multiple levels of employment at the Rutherford County Schools is expected to be complete by mid-December (2022).
