On the second half of the program, we were joined by the Ascension Saint Thomas Foundation Director Gina DeJean to talk about the upcoming event known as "Wine Around the Square."

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the 11th annual Wine Around the Square is just around the corner. The event is scheduled to take place around the historic pre-civil war era courthouse on Saturday, October 22nd between 6 and 9PM.

Wine Around the Square benefits the Power of Pink Fund and donations raised at the event will provide mammography for underinsured and uninsured women throughout Rutherford County. Services include screenings, diagnostics, ultrasounds and MRIs.

The Power of Pink Fund also supports two Mobile Mammography Coaches that serve 26 counties in Middle Tennessee, as well as the Cancer Wellness Program at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford.

Wine Around the Square is a progressive wine and spirits-tasting event. A wide variety of wines and spirits will surround the pre-civil war era courthouse on the Murfreesboro square October 22nd. Thanks to Stones River Total Beverages, along with a number of other sponsors, there will be a large selection of samplings throughout the evening between 6 and 9PM.
