Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service's EMTs Peggy Woodard and Joe Pimentel helped Hurricane Ian victims in Ft. Myers, Florida. They assisted residents who had lost everything to the storm. They helped others in conditions that are described to having been like "Third World Countries". While helping in the storm ravaged area, they answered 9-1-1 phone calls, evacuated hospitals, nursing homes and made recovery rescues.
