In highlighting prematurity awareness month, WGNS spoke to Dr. Elizabeth U. Harrelson, Neonatologist, with Ascension Saint Thomas. Her hope is to raise awareness of the maternal and infant health crisis of preterm birth. She also touched on how women can maintain a healthy pregnancy, the signs and symptoms to look out for, when to go the ER or to call your doctor, and the care that the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford NICU provides during these medically fragile times.
