Smyrna Detective Adrew Schaefer is dedicated to going the extra mile to do the job right and protect others. His compassion for service continues to be a part of his DNA. Prior to being promoted to detective, Schaefer was a K9 handler. When he was promoted in 2021, the department retired his K-9, and it became a part of his family. His former partner recently passed away and Detective Schaefer incurred all of the medical expenses. Smyrna Police Detective Andrew Schefer continues to go the extra mile.
